Digital Resistance CIC is pleased to announce a new partnership with Hove Learning Federation to develop one of the region’s first collaborative artificial intelligence (AI) curriculum programmes. The initiative focuses on AI literacy, digital resilience and safeguarding for staff, pupils and families, supporting school communities as AI becomes an increasing presence in classrooms.

This partnership marks a major step toward preparing schools for the realities of an AI-driven world.

Responding to Emerging Pressures in Education

Recent Department for Education (DfE) guidance, combined with the rollout of tools such as Microsoft Copilot through Local Authority systems, has introduced new pressures for schools across the UK. Educators are now expected to navigate complex issues including deepfakes, misinformation, data use, privacy, AI ethics and safe digital engagement.

Hove Learning Federation is taking a proactive, future-focused approach to these challenges. Digital Resistance CIC will support this work through a structured programme grounded in real school experiences.

What the Programme Involves

Over the coming months, Digital Resistance will work closely with school leaders, teachers and support staff across Hove Learning Federation to understand how they feel about AI and what support they need. This collaborative model ensures that the curriculum and safeguarding frameworks reflect the realities of everyday classroom practice.

The programme includes:

• Listening and insight gathering to understand staff attitudes, concerns and expectations around AI• Co-designing tailored curriculum materials and safeguarding frameworks shaped by real classroom environments• Delivering hands-on training, workshops and in-school sessions to build confident, safe and responsible use of AI technologies

These foundations will help staff feel prepared for emerging challenges while empowering educators to model critical, healthy and creative digital skills for pupils.
